Ferromanganese is an alloy, the main components of which are manganese and iron.
The surface of the pieces of ferromanganese should not have foreign materials.
Traces of non-stick (lime, sand) materials, slag film, slag inclusions and graphite precipitation are allowed.
Ferromanganese is supplied in lumps weighing not more than 20 kg.
The presence in the batch of pieces weighing more than 20 kg in an amount not exceeding 5% of the batch weight is allowed.
Application

It is added in the production of steel, improving its hardness, anti-corrosion properties and resistance to tearing;

They are used for deoxidation and alloying of steel, alloys and cast iron, as well as for coating welding electrodes;

It is used as a deoxidizer in the production of almost all steel grades and as an alloying element in the smelting of low-alloy and special steels.
